        The Schenectady County Sanitary Code Body Art Tattoo/Body Piercing Regulations effective October 12, 2021, allows body art practitioners to obtain a temporary permit to perform tattooing and body piercing within Schenectady County at one event lasting 14 days or less.

                          • New York State Sanitary Code Subpart 7-2, Children’s Camps, requires that children’s camp operators develop, review annually, update and implement a written safety plan. The plan must accurately describe the camp’s procedures for personnel, facility operation and maintenance, fire safety, medical, general and activity safety, staff training, and camper orientation. This will serve as the camp’s comprehensive operating plan and must address the specific conditions of the camp and its operations, as well as serve as a training and reference document for camp staff.                                       Food Establishment Permits are not transferable between owners. Any time a change of ownership occurs, even if there is just a change of the name of the corporation or LLC, the new owners must obtain a new permit to operate. The Legal operator must match the one printed on the permit.

                                            • At least one person from the food service establishment must possess a valid manager’s level food service training certificate. Schenectady County offers an online training course that is valid until NYS adopts the FDA Food Code.                                             • A copy of the Commissary’s current permit/license and most recent inspection if it is not licensed by Schenectady County Environmental Health Division.
